Gerald T. Parks Memorial Foundation Targets $100mm Fund Raise Campaign to Benefit Wounded Veterans

Co-Chairperson, Terri Pendleton, on Memorial Day this year, announced the creation of the Gerald T. Parks Memorial Foundation. The Foundation is in memory of her father, Gerald T. Parks, retired Chief Petty Officer, who passed away one year ago from lung cancer. The Foundation will be co-chaired by Mrs. Pendleton?s brother David Broadaway.

"The goal of the Foundation is to honor our father. He was a wonderful patriot, parent, husband and grandparent who led by example. Through the course of his two year battle with lung cancer, he never once complained and was always grateful for the opportunities the United States afforded him and his family. CPO Parks served in the Navy for 21 years and then went on to a successful career with the York County Sheriff's Department," said Mrs. Pendleton.

"There is a tremendous need for improved facilities to provide care to our wounded and we are proud to help do what we can to make the transition back to life in the US as smooth as possible for our wounded," added Mr. Broadaway.

The Foundation will raise money through donations, fund raisers, and through the sale of various patriotic products. The company has already created sales arrangements with several vendors including Products For Good, Flag Clothes / Limited Edition, and Action Plus Printing. The Foundation will continue to look for partnerships where the vendor is willing to help absorb the risk and assist the Foundation in other ways.

All profits will go into the fund as there are no salaries, all working on the foundation are volunteers.
